Welcome to a new video tutorial – Fabulous Palette Fluid Painting. This time I’m taking a part in the paint pouring challenge. This is a fun interaction between artists where we would give each other three do’s and three don’ts for our acrylic pouring process. Alright, so for my do’s and don’ts: first – do make a triptych and don’t use panels smaller than 10 by 12. Got it. Here I have three panels 11 by 14 each. 

Next, the colors: Do use gold and Don’t use blue. So, first, when I was planning my color palette, I thought: “Okay, gold will look very nice with purple, but purple is also a color that I use a lot”. Since it’s a challenge, this time I decided to push myself even further and use green as a base for all three panels. I will use phthalo green color for a base for my pour painting. This is a darker and a little even more turquoise type of green.

Squeeze bottles 

I am just beyond happy with how this abstract painting looks dry, especially now when I covered it with epoxy resin, and this pour painting is all shiny and glossy. As you can see the phthalo green has dried super dark. This dark background really makes all those colors pop so much. And I think this is my favorite part about this triptych, how this gold and white and some magenta pop, and there are many bursts of color all over the three panels that are just connected in one dancing flow. And I love to make my colors dance, so this fluid painting is perfect. Happy with the outcome!
