Amazing Feather Swipe -

Mixed Media Abstract Art 🤩

Acrylic Pouring Tutorial by Olga Soby

Acrylic Pour Painting Technique

Welcome to the new Amazing Feather Swipe – Mixed Media Abstract Art tutorial. Today I’m going to try something new and fun. I’m going to create feather using fun little DIY swiping tools. I love feathers and I love creating feathers especially with the paint kiss technique. Not so long ago I have seen an artist from the channel “AB Creative” using these little tools to swipe a feather and I was quite intrigued by this technique.

Today I’m going to be working on the round wood panel I have primed it with several layers of gesso and I have taped the sides and the back. First of all I’m going to add my base and I want it to be sort of a dark blue, so I’m gonna use several different shades of blue. And for the colors for my feather, I want to add a little bit of silicone to just a few colors. I think I’ll do white and gold. This gold is actually a mix of gold and copper.

So for my feather, I want it to be sort of aligned in a rounded shape obviously working on a round canvas. And without further ado let’s see how this creative abstract art idea turned out!

I love This fluid art acrylic painting so much! Look at the gold shine and my blue has dried pretty dark. So there is a lot of contrast between the background and feather. I have added a center line I just felt like it would give it a lot more definition and I’ve also added something special to my layer of resin. So where the light is reflected in the resin you can see the pink and blue sparks. I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
